V-Day Thoughts?

The big V-Day is just around the corner, folks. Crazy, right? What are your thoughts on this hyped "holiday?" Will you be spending time with your honey? Drowning your sorrows with cheap wine? Ignoring V-Day completely? Spending time with friends over dinner? As manufactured as this day might be, I think it's a nice excuse to tell the people you love (friends, family, significant others) how special they are. Hey, I'm a Libra. We love love. Like, a lot.

I quite literally own two pairs of sneakers. And many, many pairs of flats,
heels and boots. So, to say the least, I am not really a sneakers-girl. But, how cute
would these pink Vans be with jeans and a V-neck tee? Keds would do the trick too.

Where To?

I'm starting to get the wheels turning about my next vacation for this summer. Last summer's cruise was beyond amazing, but I'm looking to do something a bit more adventurous. In a perfect world, I'd go somewhere like Thailand but my allotted vacations days will not work for a trip, literally, around the world.

Criteria: 1) Somewhere not overly tourist-y. 2) Somewhere with lots of off-the-beaten path exploring!

Any suggestions?

Curves Ahead.

V Magazine is doing something kind of surprising. They are coming out with a "size issue" which features many gorgeous plus-size models. And by "plus size," I am not talking about size 6 or 8. We're talking curves for days. baby. I like that V Magazine chose to use the term "plus size" rather than "normal." Let's face it, "normal" girls are a size 0, 8 or 15. By industry standards, a "plus size" girl is anything larger than a size 2. V Magazine could have easily used standard size 6 models for this spread but they chose very voluptuous girls, I believe, to make a point. I feel that the middle ground-size 6 would have been overlooked. Kudos to V Magazine for finally doing something a little different!

PS: These models are gorgeous, right?

Through Thick and Thin?

So, unless you have been living under a rock you probably heard about the craziness that occurred between Charlie Sheen and Brooke Mueller recently. In case you need a recap Charlie held a knife against his wifey's throat, threatened to kill her and told her that if she told anybody he would hire somebody else to kill her. Lovely, huh?

Word on the street is that Brooke is looking to reconcile. Look, I get that they are married and that marriage is through "good times and bad times" but how many times can Charlie Sheen get away with this disgusting behavior? This is certainly not the first time Charlie has acted out (a la Denise Richards, his love of prostitutes, etc). It's time to end the dysfunction and say bye-bye, married or not.

What do you think? If you are married does that mean "through good times and bad times" regardless of how bad those bad times are?

KUWTK Drama!

So, this past Sunday's episode of KUWTK (that's Keeping Up With the Kardashians for you non-watchers) was drama-filled as usual...

What was most shocking was Rob's confession about cheating on his now ex-girlfriend Adrienne Bailon. I'm sorry, but I really liked these two together and was a bit (ok, more than a bit) bummed when I heard they broke up.

I even felt bad when Rob confessed that she was the love of his life and wanted her back until I heard about his infidelities. Sorry dude, you lose. You may have briefly dated porn star Lisa Ann (eww, by the way) but she is no Cheetah Girl!

Gosh... life is so hard.

Have you seen the movie Julie & Julia? I am in love with this movie and can't get enough of it. Meryl Streep is so charming in this heartwarming, hilarious film. It centers around Paris and food; two things I love. Check it out! Bon appetit!
