80's Party.

Niagara Wine Weekend.

Some friends and I recently made the trek to Niagara
Falls for an ice wine festival. As you can see from this
picture, it was cold; bone-chilling cold.

We made a stop by Anchor Bar; home of the first
buffalo wings. Julian's face is epic here.

One of many wine tastings.

Wine, wine and more wine.

This wine glass holds an entire bottle of wine it in.
Hayley seemed pleased as punch.

The falls were really beautiful.

The mist was freezing but wow, it was gorgeous.

This pretty much sums up the weekend.

Good Advertising.

I'm a sucker for a good ad campaign. I'm ready to pop
some bubbly after looking through Scarlett's sexy
Moet ad campaign photographs. Yum.

Natalie Portman can do no wrong in my book
and I think advertisers feel the same. How cute is her little
bow in this Dior ad? She's so elegant and feminine.

Globes Fashion Winners.

There were so many beautiful gowns at the 2011 Golden
Globes. January Jones' dress was the epitome of va-va-voom!

Olivia Wilde's gown was just perfection. The simplicity
of her hair and minimal (or any?) jewelry was a great fit for
this over-the-top gown. Big winner of the night!

Anne Hathaway has really come into her own over the years.
It's the real life Princess Diaries, huh? I love this gown.

Who was the fashion winner in your book? The fashion loser?

Loud.

Have you heard Rihanna's new album, Loud? If not, I'd highly recommend it as a great pop album. "S&M is one of the more racy songs. I can only imagine the video that RiRi will create for this song...

"Skin" is equally racy in true Rihanna style. The slow tempo is, dare I say, seductive?

"Raining Men" is a fun, up-tempo song with Nicki Minaj. Nicki's beats do not disappoint.

"Man Down" is what I would imagine a modern version of "I Shot the Sheriff" by Bob Marley would be like. I am digging the Caribbean vibes that RiRi has sprinkled in this album.

PS: The album sounds particularly sweet on my new sound system. Cha-ching.

The Kennedys Killed.

I have been looking forward to "The Kennedys" ever since I caught a few glimpses of Katie Holmes looking eerily similar to one of my favorite women in history, Jackie O. The mini-series was recently canceled from airing on The History Channel, reportedly due to pressure from the Kennedy family. If you know anything about the late Jackie O you know that she fiercely protected the name of the Kennedy family after her husband's death.

Word on the street is that another network will pick this up. Fingers crossed!

PS: Just Jackie by Edward Klein (long-time friend of the Kennedy family) is uh-mazing.

Cravings.

So, I called the nearby Dunkin Donuts to ask what
time they're open until tonight and the gentleman on the other
line cheerfully yelled "We're open 24 hours!" knowing that he
was delivering good news. I love you, Dunkin Donuts man. I
majorly crave iced coffee no matter the time of day. Mmmm...

What do you crave?

Black Swan Make Up Tutorial.

Have you seen Black Swan yet? If you haven't seen it, you've definitely heard about how fricken crazy it is. I mean, Natalie Portman's character is cray cray to the tenth power. I stumbled upon this hilarious video from YouTube vlogger, GlowPinkStah, demonstrating the make up from Black Swan as well as sprinkling in her own biting social commentary. I dare you not to laugh at her dry humor.

PS: Check out GlowPinkStah's Avatar make up tutorial, which is equally funny. Even better yet, is her Snooki make up tutorial.
