Starbucks Value Meal?

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few months, you know that the economy isn't too hot right now. Companies like Starbucks are hurtin' and companies like McDonalds are doing better than ever.

Now, I like my Starbucks iced lattes just as much as the next girl but I can't justify spending $4.00 on a coffee every day during these times.

Turns out Starbucks is taking a cue from McDonalds and will be offering value meals, reports NewsDay. Expect to see value meals including a medium drip coffee and an egg white flatbread sandwich for $1.99.

I saw a commercial the other day for McDonalds announcing free coffee for the entire month of February. In addition, McDonalds is offering free wi-fi at many of their locations. With wi-fi costing over $5 an hour at Starbucks, I'm on board. Starbucks had better get their act together, and these value meals are a step in the right direction.
