Wigged Out?

Is it just me, or was Alicia Keys wearing a
really bad wig at the 2009 Oscars?

Homecoming Queen!

Unless you've been living under a rock, you've probably heard about Ryan Allen, a cross-dresser and George Mason student, who won the coveted title of Homecoming Queen at George Mason University. The press has gone buck-wild over this win, including this article from The New York Times and this one from The Washington Post.

Oh, and here at Perez Hilton. Yeowza.

"Allen said he decided to enter the Ms. Mason contest this year as a joke, a last hurrah for his senior year. Soon he had donned a silver bra and zebra-print pants and was lip-syncing to Britney Spears's "Womanizer" at the qualifying pageant Feb. 9, overseen by Miss Virginia 2009," wrote Annie Gowan from The Washington Post.

I had the pleasure of interviewing Ryan last year for my What's Up Weekend? show. Check out the podcast for March 27th-March 30th for the lowdown on Ryan's crossdressing antics.

Work that crown, girl!

The Veronicas.

The Veronicas
have done a pretty rad cover of The Jonas Brothers' "Burning Up" and it's actually quite good, if I do say so myself.

I dedicate this post to Lizzie, who I think (not so) secretly loves these ladies!

I'm a Womanizer!

This group's rendition of "Womanizer" is amazing! Much better than Britney's version (don't hate me Brit Brit)!

Check it out!

Valentine's Day Wrap-Up.

Cherry cupcakes I made for my co-workers, roomies and boyfriend.

Andrew and I before dinner at Bastille.

How was your Valentine's Day?

Gaga for Gaga.

Check out Lady Gaga's newest single, Poker Face.

Bow down to The Gaga.

And here is Love Game by Lady Gaga. "Let’s have some fun / this beat is sick / I wanna take a ride on your disco stick!” Yeowza! I love me some Gaga!

Bad Girl.

I cannot get Rihanna's "Bad Girl" out of my head. It's infectious. Give it a listen.

Just Sayin.

Michael Phelps must be so happy for two reasons:

1) Chris Brown
2) Octo-Baby Woman

What was Michael Phelps in trouble for again?

C-Breezy and RiRi.

In light of the recent situation with Chris Brown and Rihanna
a lot of people have been talking about domestic violence. And my
question is; is there ever a time when hitting a woman acceptable?

Discuss.

Starbucks Value Meal?

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last few months, you know that the economy isn't too hot right now. Companies like Starbucks are hurtin' and companies like McDonalds are doing better than ever.

Now, I like my Starbucks iced lattes just as much as the next girl but I can't justify spending $4.00 on a coffee every day during these times.

Turns out Starbucks is taking a cue from McDonalds and will be offering value meals, reports NewsDay. Expect to see value meals including a medium drip coffee and an egg white flatbread sandwich for $1.99.

I saw a commercial the other day for McDonalds announcing free coffee for the entire month of February. In addition, McDonalds is offering free wi-fi at many of their locations. With wi-fi costing over $5 an hour at Starbucks, I'm on board. Starbucks had better get their act together, and these value meals are a step in the right direction.

Britney Spears Challenge, Say What?!

I love America's Best Dance Crew. This week's challenge was to dance to Britney Spears. Check out this awesome performance.

I love how this typically 'hard' crew feminized their routine. I was screaming at the TV during that booty shake! You have to be a grown and confident man to strut your stuff on stage like that! Me likey!

French Part Trois

Meet Alix. A recent fashion school graduate, designer with her
own fashion line, and photographer extraordinaire. Her blog,
The Cherry Blossom Girl, is ridiculous. I am in total awe of her
photographs (note: she's never even studied photography), her
attention to detail, and eye for design. As if I didn't love France
enough, I now love it a bit more. Le sigh. Photo by Alix, naturally.
